Here are the embroidered foresleeves, with jet glass ouches and the underskirt. Both are silk, embroidered in cotton. The underskirt features a motif inspired by embroidery on an extant 16th c. caul and and is beaded with 1mm and 2mm freshwater pearls.

The skirt and bodice need to be joined, and it still needs the pintucks at the hem, hooks & eyes, buttons, sleeves hemmed, etc. But all the machine stitching is finished. The dress is skin-tight in the sleeves and waist, which is giving me fits. I think I may...
