I’ve been plotting out my fourth Handmade Holiday for a few months now, but this week, I finally got started on some actual stitching. I wrote in depth last year about why I give handmade and the rules we follow for holiday gifting here, so I won’t rehash that.
This year, I have 20 or so gifts that are personalized to some very savvy adults, so I will likely only post cropped images of them on IG so that the recipients’ surprises aren’t ruined. Last year, most of my personalized gifts were for children who aren’t on social media and/or cannot read, so sharing my progress was a bit less risky.
Anyway, here’s an overview of the 80 pre-planned items I’m making over the next ten weeks (gifts for my spouse are not listed because that would ruin any surprises I have up my sleeve) :
- 4 sets of doll clothes
- 4 Felt flower accessories (hair clips and such)
- 20 unique and personal variations of the aforementioned super-secret project. It is Disney-themed.
- 6 Bookmarks
- 4 Felt Campfires with felt marshmallows
- 10 batches of finger paint
- 8 bottles/jars of homemade ketchup and/or jam.
- 8 Everywhere Pouches. Themed (of course) and with 8 homemade lip balms and solid lotion bars to live inside them.
