I’ve been waylaid a bit in my commission work due to holiday frenzy. I’ve completed pretty much all the Christmas gifts for this year, on the bright side, but sewing things for friends and family on top of work, and the work I bring home, caused a little slowing on the commission front.

I have gotten stuff done, though I haven’t had time to document it on film. I’m going to have to do the Puki outfit by hand. And it’s all gathered and ready to be stitched for real (instead of big basting stitches). I’ll be edging the collar and cuffs and whatnot in a deeper blue silk ribbon, instead of making itty bitty bias tape.

And on the Col. Brandon outfit front, I’ve completed the pattern alterations (I’d created patterns for my Domuya Flexi-Perennial boy’s eventual Mesmer outfit from some pattern bits in a cloth doll book, which took a lot of altering, for length and skinniness–and the same book came in handy here, but required some alteration for length and the rather ample minimee body rear end) and cut out a muslin version of all the pieces. I’ll stitch them up this week, so that they can be tried on before mid-month and I can get this puppy finished by Christmas. My goal is to have everything, personal, work, and doll-related done by Christmas, by the way…
