To summarize, school has become overwhelming and health issues are complicating my time management. For those who don’t know, I’m at the end of my graduate program–so that I can finish with two Masters degrees, I must finish my coursework and I’ve been asked to not just revise, but re-write a 30+ page paper from my first year at the University for review. Needless to say, neither the medical issues nor the re-write were expected, and I am struggling a bit to keep up.

I’m very thankful to my clients for their patience at this moment, and even though things are crazy, things are still progressing, if a bit more slowly. Delays should be expected, though they ought not to be great–2 weeks, maximum. My May commissions will be delayed in starting until about the 15th of the month as a result. But as I’ll be free from academic pressures by then, things should be back on track by the time June commissions are beginning.

I spent 45 minutes describing each photo in this update and lost my changes before saving a draft…
Until I have a moment to detail my progress again, here are the photos and some cursory remarks:

Nautilus–nothing photogenic is occuring, but things are moving along nicely–I’m currently embroiled in designing beading and embroidery diagrams that are scaled properly to MSD.

SailorLimaBean–dress lining is complete, and silk is cut and ready to stitch. Previews of undergarments (all that’s left are grommets and other hand-finishing):

The chemise needs its neck yoke, and all of the waistbands need to be hand-stitched on the inside. The lace used on the chemise and petticoat is supposed to simulate beading (not with beads–an insertion lace that you weave ribbon through)–pink satin ribbon is the only real color other than white in the embellishments.
